We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Cleaners to join our Nottingham team. These roles are zero‑hour fixed term positions until September 2026 with an hourly rate of £12.97.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets.
- Sweep, polish floors and clean stairs.
- Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate.
- Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin‑store areas.
- During the summer season only:
- Make beds, including stripping and changing sheets.
- Collect laundered linen from store, bag and pack for collection.
- Clean internal and external windows where applicable.
- Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils where appropriate.
- Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
- Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience of cleaning in a similar environment.
- Strong communication and organisation skills, with attention to detail.
- Good conversational standard of English and ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
- Prepared to work at other sites if required and additional hours during main student arrival and departure weekends.
