We have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our Nottingham team. This is a permanent part‑time position working 20 hours per week from 5am to 9am Monday to Friday. The salary is £13,542.99 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning the designated areas for our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens.
- Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets.
- Sweep and polish floors and clean stairs.
- Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators and lampshades as appropriate.
- Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
- During the summer season only: Make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting, collection of laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection.
- Clean internal and external windows, where applicable.
- Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriate.
- Daily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
- Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience of cleaning in a similar environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with an attention to detail.
- Good conversational standard of English and ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
- Willingness to work at other sites (with notice) and to provide additional hours when necessary.
- Willful passing satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks, including a basic DBS.
