We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join our fantastic UPP team onsite at Nottingham University. Our Receptionist is responsible for being front of house and operating the Reception Desk, switchboard, and the computerised system that controls the monitoring of all the maintenance work. This is a permanent, full-time position working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £27,279.70 per annum.
Role
Receptionist to join the UPP team onsite at Nottingham University. You will be responsible for front of house operations, managing the Reception Desk and switchboard, and overseeing the computerised system that monitors maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent and comprehensive reception service to the students and office team; keeping records of all visitors, contractors and issue keys when required.
- Assist managers in the co-ordination of all on-site activities and day to day administration plus complete all regular reporting.
- Liaise with the university client, sub-contractors, UPP staff and residents and support with all queries.
- Assist in procurement of goods and services via the purchase system including producing purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Maintain all technical and statutory records and personnel records held on site.
- Manage and monitor out of hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and any relevant residence instructions.
- Operate a computer based property management database which monitors all the planned and reactive maintenance works.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in a similar role and environment with strong communication and administration skills.
- Comfortable working with databases and spreadsheets.
- Team player with a passion to work as part of the team, and be welcoming to students, staff and visitors.
- Flexible to work (with notice) to cover additional hours when needed, especially during main student arrival and departure weekends.
