Warehouse Operative
As a Warehouse Operative, you are responsible for correctly and accurately receiving, locating, picking, and dispatching customer orders while maintaining the integrity of the inventory control system.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload deliveries to ensure accurate proof of delivery information.
- Check deliveries to confirm that items and quantities received are as specified.
- Accurately and efficiently input deliveries into the inventory management system against purchase orders.
- Ensure that all stock received is correctly labelled and placed in the appropriate location.
- Accurately pick products and report any discrepancies.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products and quantities are correct.
- Ensure all orders are adequately packaged for transportation.
- Operate the mechanical equipment in line with regulations and policy.
- Apply regulations regarding storage and product handling.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system ensuring that all records are easily accessible.
Qualifications
- Flexibility with working hours in line with business needs.
- Established verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all partners.
- Proven track record of attendance and reliability.
- Accurate counting ability.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates.
- Ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg of force frequently (34‑67% of the workday) and up to 25 kg of force occasionally (0‑33% of the workday).

- Educated to GCSE standard preferably in Maths and English.
