Responsibilities

  • Lead the Software Sales strategy and manage both direct and virtual teams to create and drive the go-to-market in alignment with CDW’s objectives.
  • Be accountable for the performance and growth of the Software business, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a high-quality delivery culture across direct and virtual teams.
  • Shape and execute software strategy across short and long-term horizons, manage financial and performance metrics, and nurture internal and external relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth and enhanced customer outcomes.
  • Define the Software go-to-market, prioritize capability areas, and manage a positive P&L within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal business units (OCTO, Partner Management, Commercial, Marketing) to drive process and platform improvements while remaining flexible and engaged.
  • Create and evolve learning and development programmes to support coworker growth aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and lead the UK's Software Sales pillar, including core go-to markets, driving opportunities, and improving win rates through presales expertise.
  • Develop and execute a business plan aligned to CDW’s strategy, ensuring profitable outcomes and ongoing relevance of the business unit.
  • Engage with sales leadership, sellers, and the wider business to assess opportunities, resource needs, and flight stages.
  • Develop market insights and competitive intelligence with cross-functional teams to support the Software Sales team’s success.
  • Host, attend, and participate in internal, customer, and partner events to showcase CDW’s capabilities.
  • Continuously assess and develop the Software Sales team, recruiting top talent and raising standards across the organization.
  • Drive collaboration across presales units to deliver broad business outcomes for customers.
  • Act as an escalation point for business-critical events within the unit, owning issues and driving remediation as needed.
  • What we expect of you
  • Proven experience in the Information Technology and Services market with leadership history and a track record of developing teams and individuals.
  • Proven C-level interaction, engagement, and relationship management.
  • Track record of driving revenue and profit growth, managing costs, and developing talent.
  • Strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including negotiation, contracting, and third-party management.
  • Experience in building internal departmental brands and engaging with multiple internal units.
  • Professional certifications (desirable) such as Sales, Business Administration, or Leadership/Management qualifications.
  • Highly ambitious, credible, motivated, and accountable with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management, ability to lead multiple initiatives, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to present concepts and recommendations to customers, senior leaders, and cross-functional audiences.
  • High levels of industry knowledge and a willingness to learn about market trends.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally between CDW UK & international offices while maintaining work-life balance.
  • Commitment to personal development and soft-skill growth.
