The role is a temporary part‑time Cleaner for student accommodation, working 25 hours per week Monday‑Friday (9:00‑14:00). Salary is £16,930.65 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets; sweep and polish floors; clean stairs.
- Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators and lampshades as appropriate.
- Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
- During the summer season:
- Make beds, stripping and changing sheeting.
- Collect laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection.
- Clean internal and external windows where applicable.
- Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils as appropriate.
- Maintain daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and UPP staff.
- Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience cleaning in a similar environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good conversational English and the ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
- Prepared to work at other sites if required and to take on additional hours, especially during main student arrival and departure weekends.
