Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of complex procurement categories and turn strategy into impact.
  • Lead insight‑led category strategies aligned to Lloyd’s priorities.
  • Run strategic sourcing activity end to end, from market analysis to negotiation and contract award.
  • Partner with stakeholders so procurement is embedded in planning and decision‑making.
  • Manage key suppliers to drive value, performance and resilience.
  • Spot opportunities for savings, innovation and smarter ways of working.
  • Strengthen policies, tools and ways of working to improve consistency and control.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decisions and track performance.
  • Play an active role in building procurement capability through coaching and knowledge‑sharing.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in strategic procurement and category management, ideally in complex or regulated environments.
  • The confidence to lead negotiations and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
  • A deep understanding of governance, risk and compliance.
  • A track record of delivering savings, supplier innovation and risk mitigation.
  • Experience shaping or contributing to procurement improvement or transformation.
  • The ability to explain complex issues clearly and influence with credibility.
