Aggregation Analyst
Make the market better. It starts with you.
At Lloyd's, we're the world's leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace.
Every day, we bring together the expertise, insight and capital needed to help businesses, communities and economies recover from the unexpected.
We're looking for an Aggregation Analyst to join our Catastrophe Risk & Reinsurance Analytics team.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of the Lloyd's market, helping us understand and manage some of the most complex risks facing the global insurance industry.
You'll use data, analytics and technology to provide insight into catastrophe risk and reinsurance across the Lloyd's market.
Your work will support business-critical decisions, influence market oversight and help strengthen the resilience of a marketplace trusted around the world.
What you'll do
You’ll be part of the team responsible for analysing two of the market's most significant sources of aggregate risk: catastrophe exposure and outwards reinsurance.
The insight you produce will be used by senior stakeholders across Lloyd's to support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include
- Analysing exposure and catastrophe data from syndicates across the Lloyd's market.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of Lloyd's in-house catastrophe model.
- Monitoring and reporting on catastrophe risk at both syndicate and market level.
- Producing internal and external risk reporting, including information for regulatory stakeholders.
- Assessing outwards reinsurance arrangements and helping quantify the risks they present to the market.
- Benchmarking syndicate exposures and identifying emerging trends.
- Working with colleagues across Lloyd's to evaluate risk management practices and reinsurance strategies.
- Supporting continuous improvement through innovative analytical tools, modelling techniques and data-driven solutions.
What we're looking for
We're interested in curious, analytical thinkers who enjoy solving complex problems and turning data into actionable insight. You'll bring:
- A degree in a numerate, scientific or related discipline, or equivalent experience solving complex analytical challenges.
- Experience using statistical software and analytical techniques.
- Strong coding and data analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and R, or similar statistical programming tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and investigative abilities.
- The confidence to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not essential.
If you have a strong analytical background and are excited by the opportunity to apply your skills in a unique and globally significant environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Being inclusive at Lloyd's is integral to how we work — and how we deliver impact.
We aim to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we serve, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and supported to reach their full potential.
We take the risk by challenging traditional thinking and being proactive about inclusion.
That means being open and positive about workplace adjustments, prioritising health and wellbeing, and investing in diversity and inclusion training so everyone feels able to contribute and succeed.
We make things happen by turning our commitment into action.
Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day-to-day — not just talked about.
We own the outcome by focusing on impact.
By bringing together diverse perspectives and the best minds in the industry, we work collaboratively with underwriters and brokers to create innovative, responsive solutions that share risk and solve complex problems across global markets.
We will develop a talent pipeline that provides us with the key capabilities we will need for the future.
To also create a culture in which every employee fulfils their full potential, ensuring that leaders role-model the behaviours we expect in ourselves and others.
