Actuarial Associate in the Capital Oversight team.

Role Overview

Play a key role in assessing and challenging capital adequacy across the Lloyd's market. Work across syndicate‐specific and thematic reviews, support guidance on capital modelling, and engage with external stakeholders such as the PRA and rating agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Review and challenge syndicate capital models and SCRs, combining technical analysis with expert judgement.
  • Engage with syndicates on modelling approaches, assumptions and judgements.
  • Support the development of guidance and expectations for capital modelling within Lloyd's.
  • Contribute actuarial expertise to engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Lead or support deep‐dive reviews and thematic investigations into capital‐related issues such as Climate Risk and Geopolitical Risk.
  • Guide and support junior colleagues, sharing expertise and fostering development.

  • Experience delivering complex outputs and supervising or reviewing others' work.
  • Comfortable using Excel and other standard IT applications.
  • Commercial awareness and curiosity about why the work matters.
  • Integrity, openness and a desire to make a positive difference.
