Role Overview
As a Senior Claims Professional you will join an established team to support Managing Agents and New Entrants, elevate Claims’ status in the Lloyd’s market, and ensure alignment with Lloyd’s Claims Principles. You will help drive Claims’ contribution to overall performance and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Make considered, risk‑based decisions and ensure right outcomes are achieved through effective oversight and collaboration with the wider Lloyd’s team.
- Monitor managing agents’ adherence to the Lloyd’s Claims Principles, promoting a ‘best in class’ approach to Claims management.
- Identify and address potential claims performance risks, proactively intervene and escape issues.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management at managing agents, the Corporation, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate the results of qualitative assessments, fostering open and constructive dialogue.
- Utilise claims management information and data to elevate overall performance.
- Collaborate and provide quality assurance for claims‑related reviews and thematic work.
Qualifications
- Excellent collaborator with the ability to influence, negotiate and navigate challenging conversations to foster positive outcomes.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to evaluate complex data sets and identify critical risk areas.
- Experience in a claims, conduct or delegated authority function at an operational or technical level.
- Knowledge of relevant legal principles relating to claims in both UK and International markets.
- Ability to manage claims, legal, regulatory, government and policyholder issues.
