As a Member Activator, you’ll play a key part in helping our member-owners connect with Co-op locally, through the design and delivery of activities and engagement opportunities which brings to life all aspects of our membership value proposition. We’ll look to you to bring people together, connecting with Co-op members, colleagues, and likeminded organisations to promote our values and vision. What you’ll do

Grow your network of Co-op members, colleagues and community partners to form local forums, supported by a local digital network, to connect our member-owners to activity in their area

Develop a local community and member participation plan annually which will focus on delivering value to members in your area, and bring the plan to life through member engagement opportunities

Connect with local causes and community partners that are important to our members and demonstrate the benefits of our support

Encourage members to engage as owners through the democratic process, connecting with Members’ Council representatives and assisting them to engage with members in their constituency .

Provide opportunities for members to learn more about their Co-op and our vision, promoting our campaigns and sustainability agenda

Drive a One Co-op approach locally, connecting with Food, Funeralcare and other businesses to develop joint initiatives, and build positive relationships with Independent Co-operative Societies

Report on activity and provide case studies to demonstrate the importance and impact of our work

A good understanding of and belief in our Co-op values and difference

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and bring together a wide range of people in an inclusive way

The ability to work remotely as well as part of a team, managing your own time and activities effectively

Good basic IT skills within the Microsoft Office suite, and confidence in using social media

The ability to create and deliver engagement and activity plans

The flexibility to travel within the defined geographical area detailed above

£31,005 [pro rata] plus excellent benefits (Work level 6B)
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required., Here you’ll do work that matters.
