Base pay range: Application Engineer £35,000 to £40,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) Manchester city centre (hybrid - working from the office once every three months).

About this role: We’re looking for an Application Engineer to join our Digital technology & data team in Manchester to support the systems and tools used by our Co-op Legal Services (CLS) colleagues. From designing and maintaining our case management system to mentoring others in the team, you’ll play a key role in delivering technical solutions that help us provide accessible, ethical legal services to our clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Design solutions for our legal case management system (CMS) and workflows.
  • Maintain our CMS (Proclaim), making sure it’s up to date and compliant with best practices.
  • Carry out development and coding to bring your designs to life.
  • Support and mentor your team, helping them to grow and develop their skills.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience developing case management software (e.g., Proclaim, Visual Files, Lexus Nexus, Mattersphere) in a regulated industry.
  • A strong understanding of complex workflows.
  • The ability to take a concept from design through to delivery.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
