Last Mile Manager
£37,000 – £42,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least twice a week and occasionally being on call over the weekend (find out more about our hybrid working policy at jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

We’re looking for a Last Mile Manager to join us and help lead the way in modernising and shaping the future of the way our customers shop at the Co-op. We need to continue to use technology to improve and innovate operations and make Co-op an even better place for our customers to shop. And this is where you’d come in.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the relationship with our 3rd Party carriers who support the last mile operation for our shop.coop platform
  • Ensure we work collaboratively to grow our QCommerce business
  • Set up trials and manage them through to delivery to understand what processes are working well and what improvements need to be made
  • Make sure the correct internal and external partners are engaged
  • Create and present proposals for future activity
  • Chair meetings with internal partners to ensure continuous improvement across the operation based on feedback from our Co-op customers
  • Go out into the field and visit stores
  • Connect with third party suppliers to understand what new and exciting tech is emerging in the market, and how we can integrate this into our business

This role will suit people who have

  • Online grocery experienceand a passion for QCommerce
  • Good project management skills and the ability to report on projects and feedback into the business
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of internal and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently make decisions and influence others
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Excel: Including VLOOKUPs, pivot & formulas to present data in a legible format
