About The Role
You will support the day-to-day operation of the stores/ warehouse at our Leyland site, with occasional travel to our Kendal site as required.
The role is responsible for managing the complete flow of stock and products, from receiving deliveries through to ensuring materials are stored safely, accurately and prepared for our installation teams.
Our product range includes windows, doors, bifold doors and conservatory roofing components.
You will ensure materials for ongoing projects are readily available, well organised and efficiently managed.
The role also involves occasional deliveries of bifold doors and other products using the company van, while supporting the Contracts Manager with all aspects of logistics, stores management and stock control.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, ensuring all products arrive complete, undamaged and in accordance with delivery documentation.
- Book stock into the system accurately and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Investigate missing, damaged or delayed deliveries, resolve discrepancies promptly and arrange returns where incorrect items are received.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of materials and products to ensure installation teams can complete work without delay.
- Organise and maintain the stores and warehouse to ensure products are stored safely, clearly identified and easily accessible.
- Prepare, pick and load materials and products for installation teams in line with daily work schedules.
- Carry out deliveries of bifold doors and other products using the company van when required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the requirements of the role.
- What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a stores or warehouse role is desirable
- Organised, reliable and attentive to detail
- Comfortable with stock control systems and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident handling stock safely and following health and safety procedures
- A forklift licence, window and door industry knowledge, or warehousing qualification would be an advantage—but training can be provided
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel occasionally
