Coactive Care is an expanding provider of high-quality residential care services, including Georgian House and Meadfoot View. With the upcoming opening of our flagship home, Spurfield House in Exeter, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join this new and developing service.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role from the outset, supporting the Home Manager in establishing a strong team culture and ensuring the delivery of consistently high standards of person-centred care. The Deputy Manager will contribute to the day-to-day running of the home, support staff development, and help maintain quality, compliance, and a safe, supportive environment for residents and colleagues. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and who thrives in a collaborative and supportive setting. About the role:
- Support the Registered Manager with operational management and leadership of the service, leading by example
- Provide guidance, supervision, and support to a large and diverse staff team, helping people to grow and do their best work
- Help maintain high standards of care, compliance, and service delivery, with a focus on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
- Be adaptable and confident in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Participate in the management on-call rota
- Work occasional weekends as required by service needs
About you:
- Experience working with people with mental health needs, physical disabilities, and ideally learning disabilities
- Confident in managing and supporting a large staff team, building trust and positive working relationships
- Resilient, well organised, and calm under pressure
- Flexible, with a genuine commitment to person-centred care and treating people with kindness, dignity, and respect
- Holds a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or is working towards it
