CNX is working on behalf of a well-established construction fit out contractor, based in Glasgow and delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of financial and contractual management across a variety of design and build projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and value for both client and contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative contractor where you’ll have real responsibility and scope to develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Subcontractor management: appointment, raising purchase orders, issuing contract documents.
- Financial administration: processing subcontractor monthly applications, assessing variations, issuing payment certificates.
- Client-facing duties: preparing monthly applications, compiling variation registers, measuring drawing revisions.
- Commercial reporting: preparing internal monthly cost reports, managing final accounts.
- Conducting regular site visits to liaise with site teams and ensure accurate commercial control.
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Previous experience within fit out, interiors, or general contracting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of subcontractor management and client applications.
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working both independently and within a team.
