The Role
You'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle across the Construction Trades & Labour market, working with contractors and construction businesses to supply high-quality site-based personnel. This is a true 360 recruitment role, giving you the freedom to build lasting client relationships while developing your own candidate network.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a warm Construction Trades & Labour desk
- Building new business relationships with main contractors, subcontractors and construction companies
- Growing and managing existing client accounts
- Sourcing, interviewing and registering trades and labour candidates
- Recruiting for a range of site-based roles including labourers, groundworkers, joiners, bricklayers, electricians, plumbers, painters, steel fixers, plant operatives and other construction trades
- Advertising vacancies and proactively headhunting suitable candidates
- Matching candidates to temporary and permanent opportunities
- Managing the full recruitment process from vacancy qualification through to placement
- Conducting client meetings and site visits
- Negotiating charge rates and commercial terms
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of available workers
- Ensuring compliance with right-to-work legislation and all relevant construction recruitment requirements
- Delivering an exceptional service to both clients and candidates
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Recruitment experience within the Construction Trades & Labour sector
- A strong track record of developing client relationships and generating new business
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a growing team
- The ambition to build a successful desk and progress with the business
