We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor with a strong background in fire protection, specifically fire doors, to oversee works across sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh. This position is ideal for someone from a joinery background who has either already moved away from the tools or is now looking to step into a supervisory role, while still making use of their technical expertise.
The Role:
- Supervising fire door installation works across multiple sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with BM TRADA standards
- Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations
- Overseeing health & safety on site
- Managing site teams and subcontractors
- Supporting the line manager with estimating and pricing
- Acting as a key point of contact to ensure quality, programme, and compliance are maintained
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fire protection, with a strong focus on fire doors
- BM TRADA competency is essential
- Joinery or carpentry background
- Previous supervisory or site management experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance and quality standards
- Full UK driving licence
Package:
- £25 per hour
- 45p per mile for business travel
- 12-week contract with the intention to discuss a permanent role thereafter
