CNX Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading construction contractor for an experienced Senior Site / Project Manager to take a lead role on a major healthcare refurbishment project in Dundee.

The project involves the comprehensive refurbishment of an operational healthcare facility, including external works and a full internal fit-out, incorporating mechanical and electrical services.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the project on site, working closely with the company's internal M&E team and appointed subcontractors.

The Role

This is a hands-on senior position suited to an experienced Senior Site Manager or Project Manager who is confident taking ownership of a complex refurbishment project from mobilisation through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project on site.
  • Managing and coordinating the construction programme.
  • Planning and sequencing works to ensure the project remains on programme.
  • Working closely with the internal M&E team to ensure effective integration of services.
  • Liaising closely with the Quantity Surveyor and commercial team.
  • Monitoring progress, quality and productivity across the project.
  • Coordinating site logistics, labour, materials and plant.
  • Leading site meetings and coordinating project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with health & safety requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Identifying and resolving issues proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing regular progress updates to senior management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager, Project Manager or similar within the construction sector.
  • Experience delivering refurbishment and/or fit-out projects within healthcare.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Strong programme management and planning skills.
  • Good understanding of M&E coordination.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work closely with commercial teams and Quantity Surveyors.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
  • Relevant construction qualifications and site management certifications.

Experience working within healthcare, live environments or other complex refurbishment settings would be highly advantageous.
