CNX Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a £20m+ major project at a Ministry of Defence site in Glasgow. This is a high-profile, technically challenging scheme delivered within a secure environment, offering the successful candidate long-term career progression with one of the UK’s most respected contractors.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from site mobilisation through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overall leadership and management of the site delivery team
- Full responsibility for programme, budget and risk management
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure performance targets are met
- Ensuring strict compliance with MoD, security, H&S and quality standards
- Client liaison and reporting at senior level
- Driving a strong safety-first and collaborative site culture
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering £20m+ projects for a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 main contractor
- Strong background in complex, regulated or secure environments (MoD, defence, healthcare, infrastructure or similar)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Relevant Construction Qualification Degree level or equivalent
- Membership / accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB/ICE)
- IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
- Experience of using ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and relevant construction qualifications
- Eligibility to work on MoD sites (or ability to obtain required clearance)
