Job Overview
The Peer & Lived Experience Training Team at CNWL is looking for two part‑time Peer Educators (Band 4) to support training activities across South East and East England.
The role is based at Argo House Town London, requires 3 days per week (one day on Monday) and includes a minimum of two remote days.
Salary
: £33,262 – £36,027 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time) with health and pension benefits. Closing date: 17 July 2026.

Responsibilities
- Work with the training team to support students with course attendance, engagement and assignments.
- Co‑deliver and develop training in peer working for individuals living in South East and East England.
- Promote, develop, embed and embody recovery‑focused practice across all training activities.
- Support the development of training needs of staff utilizing lived experience within and beyond CNWL.
- Deliver peer‑ and lived‑experience‑centred training within and outside the Trust.
- Maintain accurate records, feedback and evaluations.
Qualifications
- Basic education at GCSE grade or equivalent.
- Willingness to obtain underpinning knowledge through work‑based learning and mandatory training.
- Completion or willingness to complete a Train the Trainer course.
- Teaching/training qualification.
- Evidence of commitment to personal development in relation to recovery principles.
- Paid or unpaid experience as a peer worker.
- Experience of delivering recovery‑focused training and/or facilitating group work.
- Experience of working in social care or health settings (paid or unpaid).
- Experience of using online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to support own wellbeing and manage personally developed recovery plans.
- Experience of contributing to written records, feedback or evaluations.
- Experience of working as part of a remote or hybrid team.
Skills and Knowledge
- First‑person experiential knowledge of recovery, able to share in a training context.
- Knowledge of personal recovery concepts and ability to apply them to others.
- Ability to manage emotionally challenging classroom dynamics and uphold psychological safety.
- Understanding of issues faced by people accessing healthcare services and a culturally sensitive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Empathy, compassion, patience, non‑judgemental attitude and problem‑solving ability.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and safeguarding best practice.
