Job overview: Are you a peer worker with lived experience of mental health recovery and substantial professional experience in peer and lived experience training delivery? This role offers an opportunity to lead training and development within CNWL’s Peer & Lived Experience Workforce.
Main duties of the job: The Deputy Team Lead will support the development and delivery of training packages, programmes and pathways for the peer and lived experience workforce across CNWL and external stakeholders. They will deputise for the Trustwide Peer & Lived Experience Training & Development Lead, ensuring high quality training delivery and operational leadership, and will contribute to central Lived Experience Team strategy, supervision and programme development.

Person specification:
- Completion of peer support training.
- Degree level education or equivalent skills.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Supervision training.
- Coaching training.
- Lived experience of recovery from mental and emotional distress, and experience of using statutory mental health services.
- Significant experience of working in health and/or social care settings as a peer support worker (or equivalent).
- Experience of working as a peer trainer (or equivalent).
- Experience of delivering mentoring and/or supervision/appraisal.
- Experience of autonomous working.
- Experience of working as part of a remote or hybrid team.
- Experience in training evaluation and assessment.
- Experience in managing resources such as financial, stock and equipment.
- Experience of relationship building and partnership working.
- Experience of working in an educational / learning and development environment.
- Experience of managing complex HR issues with staff, e.g. performance and long term sickness.
- Experience of strategy development and delivery.
- Experience of working as a Senior Peer Worker/Trainer or equivalent level role.
- Experience of working with information technology to track operational performance.
Other: Ability to travel across the Trust by public transport.
