The Admin Hub consists of service lines including Single Points of Access for Adult and Children’s Services and a Business Support Team. This is a new function to the Directorate and the post holder will require creativity and a solution focussed approach to problem solving to ensure effectiveness as the service is implemented. Core to the role is partnership working with other single points of contact and referral hubs across the Milton Keynes System including management of several highly complex tasks to ensure delivery against statutory and safeguarding requirements across adult and children’s services.

- You’ll manage day-to-day business support operations, oversee admin teams, and ensure our systems, processes, and resources are used effectively.
- You’ll coordinate key activities such as reporting, governance, finance support, and workforce administration, while driving improvements that make our services more efficient and responsive.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- The post reports directly to the Service Manager.
- To provide clear leadership across Admin hubs, ensuring efficient and robust processes exist to support the delivery of the service to meet the requirements of service users, clinical teams and the Milton Keynes System.
- To provide leadership for admin functions across CHS, and leading work to introduce streamlined, consistent working processes and practices for complex processes across the Admin hub teams.
- The post holder will work as part of a dynamic leadership team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and team leads.
- The post-holder will be responsible for delivering KPIs and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement across all teams.
- To provide high quality service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
- To undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery and ensure timely delivery of data and information in line with KPIs and statutory requests.
- To deputise for Service Manager/seniors where requested in internal and external meetings.
- To recruit, lead and manage a team of administrators and business support staff who are responsible for delivering a high-quality efficient administration and business support service to enable effective delivery of clinical services working from a variety of sites.
Person specification:
- Educated to Degree or Higher National Diploma, NVQ level 4 or evidence of equivalent standard of practice.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Line Management and Supervisory Experience, including performance management.
- Substantial experience of working in a Senior Administrative role in the NHS delivering a full range of tasks to a high standard in a service user centred environment.
- Experience of dealing with client complaints and concerns.
- Robust knowledge and use of SystmOne/Electronic Patient Management System and its application to management of clinical workflow and clinical reporting.
