We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Community Consultant Paediatrician to join our Community Child Health service in Hillingdon. This is an ideal opportunity to join a dynamic team passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of babies, children, young people and families in North West London, with the aim to provide the best possible care and ensure our patients achieve the best possible outcomes and wellbeing for life.

Main duties of the job:
- This post is for a Consultant Paediatrician in Community Child Health and Neurodisability, with the opportunity to take up the role as lead for Safeguarding, SEND and sensorineural hearing loss.
- You will work closely with other paediatric colleagues to provide safeguarding, including child protection and Looked after children, and neurodisability services.
- You will share the overall clinical responsibility with the other community paediatricians to provide the highest standard of medical paediatric care for our patients.
- You will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- Consultant clinics and related administrative work
- Clinical triage/screening of referrals
- Clinical supervision to trainees
- MDT clinical discussions or meetings
- Covering for Child protection medical assessments during working hours.
- To contribute to departmental teaching and teaching of paediatric trainees.
- Audit, quality improvement and service development.
- Maintain full registration with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
Person specification:
- MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
- Fully registered with the General Medical Council
- On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR-CP in Paediatrics at the time of interview
- Experience of working as part of and leading a multidisciplinary team
- Good understanding of health inequalities and the impact of social determinants on children, young people and families
