The Community Independence Service in Westminster is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our friendly Community Rehabilitation Team. You will be passionate about the value of community and rehabilitation, have had extensive clinical experience and be ready to step into a community role to further develop your clinical and non‑clinical skills.

Main duties of the job:

  • As a senior member of the Therapy Team, you will be expected to be a practitioner with a broad range of clinical competencies able to adapt to a variety of clinical circumstances.
  • You will provide complex assessments and make high impact clinical decisions.
  • You will work autonomously whilst drawing assistance from other colleagues in primary and secondary care.
  • You will use evidence based principles / current best practice and specialist skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical interventions.
  • Your exceptional caseload management and communication skills will enable you to prioritise patient care and delegate to junior members of your team.

This post will give opportunity to experience a wealth of learning and development. You will work alongside and show leadership in a responsive dynamic MDT who put high quality, patient centred care at the heart of what they do.

Job Summary:

  • To provide a highly skilled Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients with complex conditions who are referred to the service.
  • To plan, implement, evaluate treatment and management programmes to ensure the identified needs of the individual are met at all stages of the rehabilitation process.
  • To act as a source of expertise on the management of the complex disability and provide an advisory service to Physiotherapy colleagues, other health and social care professionals, GPs, and other involved agencies.
  • To actively participate and support the development of new initiatives within CNWL.
  • To manage, assist and supervise the junior staff.

Person specification:

  • Degree / diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with HCPC as a physiotherapist.
  • Previous experience of working in the UK or a similar health economy as a physiotherapist.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, complex problem solving, initiative and leadership skills.
