An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our busy community team based at the Greenacres Centre, Ashington. The post will primarily be based at this site; however, the role will also require occasional cover at other local sites, including Howard Centre, Morpeth, and potentially other nearby bases as required to support service delivery.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and professional individual to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive administrative team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality administrative support within a healthcare environment while interacting with patients, carers and professionals on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities:- Act as the first point of contact for the service, greeting patients and visitors, responding to telephone and email enquiries, and undertaking reception duties as required.
- Manage a shared inbox, arrange appointments and meetings.
- Update and maintain the RiO patient information system.
- Type correspondence and reports, take notes at team meetings.
- Process incoming and outgoing post, order supplies and report estates issues.
- Support the wider administrative team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a similar environment.
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise workload, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
