Executive Producer – CNN Global Productions (Events)
The Executive Producer for CNN Global Productions (Events) is a senior leadership role responsible for translating CNN’s world‑leading storytelling into impactful live, virtual, and hybrid event experiences. Based in the UK or UAE, the role leads all editorial elements of CNN events—including panel direction, content creation, and the integration of branding, staging, and location into editorial output. The Executive Producer ensures that all event content is engaging, editorially sound, and distributed seamlessly across CNN’s platforms: TV, digital, social, and streaming.
This role partners with the Senior Director of Editorial Events and the Head of Events to conceptualise and deliver events that embody CNN’s global brand. The Executive Producer collaborates with the events team, the commercial team, external partners, AV teams, and production staff, while retaining full editorial oversight. The position manages a team of producers, associate producers, and a Production Manager, and serves as a key relationship manager for CNN’s on‑screen talent. Reporting to the Executive Director of Global Productions, the leader coordinates global production resources and drives innovation in the events space.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Lead the editorial production of major events from planning through execution
- Direct panel conversations and guide the creation of all event content
- Oversee how branding, staging, and location are reflected in editorial output
- Ensure content is distributed effectively across all CNN platforms (TV, digital, social, streaming)
- Manage and mentor a team of producers, associate producers, and a Production Manager
- Act as the editorial show caller during events, handling real‑time changes and talent direction
- Collaborate with the events team (in‑room experience) and commercial team (partnerships and sponsorships)
- Work with external partners, AV teams, and production staff to deliver seamless experiences
- Contribute to the ideation and pitching of new event concepts
- Drive post‑event content strategy with digital and social teams
- Uphold CNN’s editorial standards and global perspective
Qualifications & Experiences
• Established editorial leader with a strong background in live events, branded content, or broadcast production.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross‑functional teams.
• Editorial intelligence, creative vision, and operational excellence at every stage of the event lifecycle.
Hybrid Working
This role is advertised as a hybrid work model that combines remote and in‑office work, in accordance with company policy and subject to local laws. The arrangement will be agreed with the Line Manager and may be adjusted as business needs evolve.
