Training Officer, Health & Social CarePosition: 37 hours per week, Permanent Post.Salary: £35,291 to £38,127 p.a. (inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance p.a.)

Responsibilities

Organise, administer and deliver Scottish Qualifications for which the council is approved.

Manage accreditation and quality assurance of all Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) awards delivered within the Approved Centre.

Coordinate, support, develop, implement and monitor all training, learning, assessment and verification related to these awards.

Qualifications

Educated to SVQ 3 or equivalent in a related discipline.

Educated to a Higher level or equivalent with at least two years\’ experience working in Human Resources, Training or Youth Work.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative.

Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Knowledge of the delivery of training programmes and working knowledge of educational structures and evidence/theory requirements of accredited training programmes.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment will be on the first point of the grade.
