CNC Recruitment are looking for a motivated CAD Technician / Assistant Engineer to join our busy and growing client’s team in Crewkerne – a well-respected engineering company. Whether you’re early in your career or already have some experience under your belt, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on in a varied and technical role within a supportive environment. You’ll be involved in CAD design work, planning, and machine programming, with full training provided for the right person. We\’re open to candidates from similar industries or anyone with solid CAD skills and a keen willingness to learn.
Location: Crewkerne
Pay Rate: up to £17.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and updating technical drawings using CAD software
- Assisting with production planning and job setup
- Supporting machine programming and preparation
- Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Learning and developing technical knowledge in a real-world, hands-on environment
Requirements
- Basic CAD skills / knowledge
- Previous experience in AutoCAD or Solidworks
