CNC Recruitment are seeking multiple Packing Operatives to join our client team in Chard area – a global food production manufacturer. The role involves cutting, wrapping and boxing cheeses, and adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
Location : Chard area
Job type : Temp – Perm
Working hours:
6am – 4pm
6am – 6pm
7.30am – 5.30pm
6pm – 6am
Salary : £12.70 per hour
Saturday rate of £15.88ph
Sunday rate of £19.05ph
Night shift rate of £15.88ph
Overtime (over 40 hrs) £25.40ph during peak weeks
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor production/packing machinery and equipment used for cheese making, cutting, and packaging.
• Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for cheese production according to specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, always ensuring safe working practices. Report any hazards or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of production processes, including any issues encountered during production.
• Work effectively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
• Ability to be a supportive and flexible team member
• Be diligent in following instructions and able to work at a fast pace without compromising quality or safety.
• Understand the importance of food hygiene and how to achieve the required standards
• Ability to read, write and speak good English, including numerical information
• Understand and apply safe working practices
• Understand the relationship between the way products are stored, and its quality for the consumer
• Previous dairy/food industry experience is desirable, but training will be give
