CNC Recruitment is seeking talented CNC Sliding Head Programmers, Setters, and Operators to join our client in Chard area – a well-respected engineering company in the Southwest region.
About the Role:
You will be joining a busy and modern precision engineering environment, working with sliding head CNC lathes (Citizen and Star machines).
Location: Chard area
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Choice of 5-day week (39 hrs) or 4-day week (39 hrs)
Contract: Full Time & Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC sliding head lathes
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Conducting first-off inspections to maintain high-quality standards
- Maintaining high levels of productivity and precision
- Continuously improving skills in a supportive and dynamic team environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC sliding head turning
- Fully competent in programming FANUC control systems
- Ability to work independently and carry out first-off inspections
- Quick learner with excellent skills retention
- Self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team player
