This is a hands-on and varied role responsible for managing projects from initial order through to completion, for clients based throughout the UK. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of renewable energy projects from order through to completion
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Carry out site visits, surveys, and technical assessments
- Develop and manage project plans and timelines
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor project costs and manage budgets
- Support project design and oversee CAD drawings
- Manage accreditations, permits, and permissions
- Liaise with procurement
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures across all project activities
- Coordinate and oversee onsite repair and maintenance activities
- Assist with and/or undertake installation and repair activities as required, in line with relevant training, qualifications, and competencies
- Support company-wide health & safety processes
- Liaise with sales team on quotations
- Provide project related leadership to engineering teams
- Provide technical support on site and in office
- Maintain records and documentation
- Promote company products and services
- Undertake any other reasonable duties
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven project management experience
- Strong engineering background
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience with renewable technologies
- Mechanical or electrical qualifications
- HND (Level 5) in an engineering discipline, or NVQ Level 4/5 (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience
- Experience with CAD software
- IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent
