Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for mechanical equipment? CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our client based in the Mid Devon district.

Location: Tiverton

Role Type: Field-based

Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum (paid overtime available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with and carry out commercial biomass boiler installations and project work nationwide
  • Provide technical support to Treco operations staff
  • Complete detailed snagging lists and commissioning reports
  • Assist with compiling parts lists where required
  • Diagnose faults and attend breakdowns
  • Build and supervise boiler installations
  • Produce detailed breakdown reports with recommended actions and required parts
  • Ensure all installation work is carried out in accordance with issued design drawings, documenting any deviations
  • Undertake pre-commissioning checks as required
  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone and on-site visits
  • Carry out meter changes in line with RHI/Ofgem requirements, including supporting documentation and images
  • Service and maintain boilers as required
  • Accurately assess labour and parts required for servicing and repairs
  • Conduct risk assessments for all site visits
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Supervise junior staff where applicable
  • Maintain a professional and positive representation of the Treco Group
  • Complete timesheets, expense forms, and mandatory training
  • Follow company processes and procedures
  • Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working order
  • Work away from home during the week when required

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Welding experience
  • IPAF and/or PASMA licence
  • Biomass boiler experience
