CNC Recruitment are seeking experienced Production Operators to join our client in Beaminster, a well-known global food production company. This role requires individuals with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, ensuring the daily packing plan is completed safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

Location: Beaminster

Job type: Temp to perm, permanent after 12 weeks

Salary: £12.71 an hour plus 20% shift premium for the first 12 weeks, and then 40% premium

Working hours: rotating shift pattern of 4,5,5,4; shifts alternate between 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00 (11-hours paid), requiring extended standing periods.

Job Purpose: Complete the daily packing plan safely and cost-effectively while maintaining and achieving the highest standard of quality. Always maintain Health & Safety and quality. Help support the development of a best in class packing operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all hygiene standards ensuring GMP is always maintained.
  • Actively ensure the working area is clean and tidy using appropriate methods, ensuring PPE is used accordingly.
  • Work efficiently with the team and support any other areas as needed.
  • Adhere to all food standards, such as IFS and QDMS, ensuring a safe and controlled work environment.
  • Remove all rubbish and recycle where necessary.
  • Follow company procedures regarding PPE usage for the area and job role.
  • Comply with food safety and quality culture policies.
  • Attend all organized training sessions across the site.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs) relevant to the role.
  • Report any quality or safety issues to the shift manager.
  • Assist in integrating and training new starters, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Participate in training activities as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.

Role-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Complete the new starter induction pack and modules 1 & 2 of the general operator training guides.
  • Cover all End-of-Line (EOL) processes, including pallet formats, quality checks, and safe working practices.
  • Escalate any concerns as needed.
  • Assist the operator in the daily running of the line.
