CNC Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator (Level 2) to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist to join a well-established business, producing high-quality precision components in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The Role

  • Set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC control systems.
  • Manufacture precision turned components in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Carry out first-off and in-process inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
  • Inspect your own work to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship.
  • Ensure your work area is maintained to excellent 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining exceptional quality.

About You

  • We're looking for an experienced CNC professional with a strong engineering background and a passion for precision manufacturing.
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator.
  • Strong working knowledge of FANUC control systems.
  • Previous experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience operating Nakamura machines with bar feed.
