CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Engineering Administrator to join our client in the Bridport area, a global leader in manufacturing within the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up the engineering system using SAP.
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing
Pay: From £14.15 per hour
Expected hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Job Purpose
- Provide structure, processes, and administrative support to the Engineering & Maintenance department.
- Support work planning and coordination activities.
- Source materials and manage supplier relationships.
- Maintain the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system and inventory control processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Systems & Process Management
- Set up, maintain, and improve systems that support Engineering & Maintenance teams.
- Coordinate and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
- Analyse data from the PPM system and other logs to identify trends and improvements.
- Maintain trackers for departmental spend against budget.
- Manage contract documentation, including tracking renewal dates.
- Monitor site maintenance and facilities work orders to ensure completion within agreed timescales.
- Manage spares inventory and stock control.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors.
- Raise purchase orders (POs) to support departmental activities.
- Coordinate holiday schedules for the team.
- Support the Engineering Maintenance Manager (EMM) with project management tasks.
- Assist in contractor management for department-related work.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Input, manage, and maintain data across relevant systems.
- Support data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Improve communication between Engineers, Shift Managers, and the wider business.
- Develop and update procedures, SOPs, and documentation where required.
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety, HSE, Quality, and COSHH requirements.
- Promote and follow food safety and quality culture standards.

- Qualifications & Experience
- Degree-level education or relevant experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
- Food Safety Level 2 certification (preferred).
