The role
Picking up parcels from the depot, loading the van, delivering the parcels efficiently using scanning equipment, using an android phone with app to track and monitor parcel delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and Efficient Driving:Operating the vehicle safely and adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Route Planning:Planning and optimizing routes to ensure timely deliveries and efficient transportation.
- Customer Service:Providing excellent customer service, interacting with clients, and handling any issues that arise.
- Loading and Unloading:Handling the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are secure during transport.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
- Communication:Communicating with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Driver\’s License:A valid driver\’s license appropriate B license, 3.5 tonne
- Driving Experience:Relevant driving experience, with a van ideally
- Customer Service Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to handle unexpected situations and resolve issues effectively.
- Physical Fitness:Depending on the role, physical fitness may be required for loading, unloading, and long periods of driving.
