This is a full-time on-site role for a Sliding Head Operator located in Cupar, Fife. The role involves setting up and operating CNC Turning machines, programming and editing CNC machines, performing quality checks and inspections, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient production processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance, adhering to safety protocols, and troubleshooting production issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Operating Sliding Heads, including the ability to set up, programme and operate machines confidently (celos conversational)
  • Experience in programming and editing CNC machines using modern CAD/CAM software
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control processes
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining equipment
  • Prior experience in the aerospace, medical, or precision engineering industries is a plus
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in CNC machining or engineering fields are advantageous
  • Good understanding of Sliding Heads, specifically Star Sliding Heads
