CNC Recruitment are seeking a reliable Cook to join our clients small, friendly team and help them deliver quality dishes to their customers. Our client is a family-run pub that has recently reopened, offering a welcoming atmosphere and traditional pub food.

Location: Cricket St Thomas

Pay: £15 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: This role follows a rotating weekly schedule:

  • Week 1
  • Tuesday: 5pm - 9pm
  • Wednesday: 5pm - 9pm
  • Thursday: 5pm - 9pm
  • Week 2
    • Tuesday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Wednesday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Thursday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Friday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Saturday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Sunday: 10am - 5pm

    Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional pub food to a high standard, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and cook traditional pub dishes consistently and to a high standard
    • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times
    • Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
    • Manage stock and minimise waste where possible
    • Work efficiently during busy service periods
    • Support the family-run team ethos and positive working environment

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience cooking traditional pub food
    • Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate ideal but not essential
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
    • Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
