CNC Recruitment are seeking a reliable Cook to join our clients small, friendly team and help them deliver quality dishes to their customers. Our client is a family-run pub that has recently reopened, offering a welcoming atmosphere and traditional pub food.
Location: Cricket St Thomas
Pay: £15 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: This role follows a rotating weekly schedule:
- Week 1
- Tuesday: 5pm - 9pm
- Wednesday: 5pm - 9pm
- Thursday: 5pm - 9pm
- Tuesday: 5pm - 9pm
- Wednesday: 5pm - 9pm
- Thursday: 5pm - 9pm
- Friday: 5pm - 9pm
- Saturday: 5pm - 9pm
- Sunday: 10am - 5pm
Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional pub food to a high standard, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional pub dishes consistently and to a high standard
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
- Manage stock and minimise waste where possible
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Support the family-run team ethos and positive working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience cooking traditional pub food
- Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate ideal but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
