Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for mechanical equipment? CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our client based in the Mid Devon district.
Location: Tiverton
Role Type: Field-based
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary: £32,000–£36,000 per annum (paid overtime available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with and carry out commercial biomass boiler installations and project work nationwide
- Provide technical support to Treco operations staff
- Complete detailed snagging lists and commissioning reports
- Assist with compiling parts lists where required
- Diagnose faults and attend breakdowns
- Build and supervise boiler installations
- Produce detailed breakdown reports with recommended actions and required parts
- Ensure all installation work is carried out in accordance with issued design drawings, documenting any deviations
- Undertake pre-commissioning checks as required
- Provide technical support to customers via telephone and on-site visits
- Carry out meter changes in line with RHI/Ofgem requirements, including supporting documentation and images
- Service and maintain boilers as required
- Accurately assess labour and parts required for servicing and repairs
- Conduct risk assessments for all site visits
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Supervise junior staff where applicable
- Maintain a professional and positive representation of the Treco Group
- Complete timesheets, expense forms, and mandatory training
- Follow company processes and procedures
- Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working order
- Work away from home during the week when required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good written and spoken English
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Welding experience
- IPAF and/or PASMA licence
- Biomass boiler experience
