CNC Recruitment are proud to work with a Southwest based Fabrication company, a highly respected design and manufacturing business, who are currently seeking Welders / Fabricators to join their team.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Taunton area
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 4pm
Pay: £30,000 - £38,000 (DOE, Overtime there is also available)
The Role:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an experienced fabricator/welder or completed an apprenticeship or BTEC level 3 in welding/fabrication and gained experience within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as stick welding
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to engineering drawings
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards
Key Requirements:
- Background in fabrication or manufacturing
- Be able to work from fabrication drawings
- Able to work well in a team
- Able to work on own initiative and self-motivated
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Punctual and Self-motivated
- Positive attitude to work with attention to detail
- Flexible approach and able to prioritise tasks
- 5 years min experience
- Experience with tube bending machines and robot welding systems or a strong willingness to learn and be trained in these technologies
