Our client is a successful CNC Precision Engineering company located near Camberley, Surrey and they are looking for a Planning & Estimating Engineer. This is an in-house role, salary £35,000 to £50,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of estimates and quotations.
  • Following up quotations.
  • Contract reviews to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
  • Sales order processing.
  • Creation of parts, BOMs and planning on the production control system.
  • Creation of works orders, purchase orders and subcontract documentation.
  • Placing purchase orders for raw material.
  • Expediting the manufacture of parts and assemblies.
  • Liaising with production and quality to provide customers with up-to-date progress information.
  • Gathering and collating data for reporting purposes.
  • Preparation of metrics for reports to commercial manager.
  • General duties as required conducive to efficient running of the department.

Qualifications

  • In-depth experience of managing large manufacturing programmes.
  • Experience of CNC machining and mechanical assembly.
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) experience.
  • Effective data collection and reporting skills.
  • Sound knowledge of ERP or MRP production control systems.
