CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter £45,000 - £50,000 Per Year (Twilight Shift) Welwyn Garden City The Role - CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter We are looking for a professional CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter to work alongside an experienced team, manufacturing plastics & metal components, this position would suit someone with either metal or plastics precision engineering industry experience The role will be to program, set and operate a sliding head lathes, citizen or toros or star manufacturing a range of one off and small batch high precision plastics components. Skills / Experience - CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter The ideal candidate will possess most or all the following skills: * Programming, Setting via Sliding Head lathes - Citizen or Toros or Star * Good understanding of cutting technology, speeds and feeds etc. * Experience cutting a diverse range of materials (Metals or Plastics) * Read and understand technical drawings * Work under own initiative and possess good problem-solving ideas. * Use of basic measuring equipment and working to fine limits. * Good health and safety awareness. The Package - CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter - On offer is a generous negotiable package with some of the highest rates of pay in the area, subject to experience - £45,000 - £50,000 Per Year Plus Overtime & Benefits. We also offer 25 days + 8 statutory days holiday per year and pension scheme. CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter - Hours (Twilight Shift) Mon to Wed 1.30pm to midnight, Thu 1.30pm to 11pm = 39 hours Overtime is paid at time and one third mid-week, time and one-half Saturday and double time Sunday. There is also a time keeping bonus
