We are looking for a Senior Reinsurance Technician to join our London Team.
Position Summary
To provide senior operational support to the CNA Hardy Ceded Reinsurance function in ensuring all post-placement activities are conducted promptly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Excess of Loss reinsurance contracts
- Assist with Facultative recovery procedure
- Entering and updating contract details in Subscribe, Senator and XLRAS
- Calculating and generating premium adjustment statements
- Identifying and accounting for recoverable claims
- Issuing large special settlement requests
- Liaising with Underwriters, Reserving, Finance and Claims departments
- Advising and liaising with Brokers and Reinsurers
- Calculating QPD returns for terrorism pools ie Pool Re, GAREAT
- Calculating and monitoring aged debt
- LORS and USM processing
- Responsible for special projects as requested by RI Operations Manager
- Involved in new system implementation if appropriate
- Exception reporting
- SOX Controls
- Represent department in internal and external meetings
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Understanding of Lloyd’s and London market
- 10 years’ experience in a ceded reinsurance role
- Experience of working for both Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s platforms a bonus.
- Ability to instruct and manage others
- Experience and thorough understanding of ceded Reinsurance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability and confidence to build internal/external relationships
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Good working knowledge of Subscribe, Senator and XLRAS
