The Role
We are currently hiring for a Reinsurance Finance Manager in our London office to lead accurate, controlled reinsurance accounting and provide expert insight across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monthly reporting: Deliver timely and accurate reinsurance financial metrics across Syndicate and Company operations.
- Accounting controls: Own reconciliations, schedules and financial controls for ceded premiums, claims, reserves and acquisition costs.
- Data integrity: Ensure reinsurance balances are accurately recorded, allocated and reconciled across core financial systems.
- Business partnering: Work closely with Reinsurance Operations, FP&A, Actuarial, Data & Analytics, Regulatory Reporting and auditors.
- Process improvement: Strengthen reinsurance accounting processes, controls and reporting efficiency while maintaining US GAAP compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Reinsurance expertise: Demonstrate strong technical reinsurance accounting knowledge, ideally across company and Lloyd’s markets.
- Analytical capability: Use sound judgement and problem-solving skills to work confidently with large, complex datasets.
- Systems skills: Apply advanced Excel capability, with Alteryx or SQL experience considered an advantage.
- Collaborative approach: Communicate clearly, organise priorities effectively and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
