Business Relationship Director
We are currently hiring for a Business Relationship Director in our London office. This senior, highly strategic role is responsible for partnering with key business areas including Claims, Finance and Actuarial/Risk, ensuring that IT & Operations delivers aligned, high‑impact outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between business units and IT & Operations, aligning technology delivery with business goals.
- Build and influence strong relationships with senior business leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities, strategy and outcomes.
- Identify, prioritise and develop high‑value business initiatives, supporting business case development and solution design.
- Ensure optimal service levels across IT & Operations, acting as an escalation point and resolving performance or service challenges.
- Lead cross‑functional teams, bringing together business and technical stakeholders to deliver solutions and improvements.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on plans, performance and operational outcomes across assigned areas.
- Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational and business performance.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, business processes and strategic priorities.
- Knowledge of IT capabilities and how to leverage them to deliver business value.
- Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders across business and technology functions.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑friendly language.
- Experience advising at senior level, shaping direction and influencing key decisions.
- Strong programme and project management capability, with experience handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to establish trust and collaboration across functions in a matrix environment.
- Awareness of market trends and ability to bring forward innovative ideas and solutions.
