Can you win new financial services clients in one of the most competitive and relationship-driven markets in the City of London? We are working on a mandated basis with a market-leading financial services learning and development provider employing circa 200 people globally with revenues of approximately £30m. Due to continued growth and a strategic shift towards new logo acquisition, they are hiring a Business Development Manager to focus exclusively on new business sales.
This role has been created to unlock untapped opportunity within a ring-fenced target account portfolio across the financial services sector. The role is focused on originating, developing, and closing new client relationships across banks, investment firms, insurers, and other regulated financial institutions. You will engage senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and position bespoke learning, digital training, and risk and compliance solutions that drive real capability uplift.
Sales cycles are consultative and enterprise-led, with deal values ranging from £30k to six and seven figures. Success will be measured by new client acquisition, revenue growth, and the creation of long-term, high-value partnerships.
This opportunity will suit a credible, commercially astute sales professional with a track record of selling into financial services. Experience selling learning and development, digital learning, risk and compliance training, or closely aligned professional services is highly desirable. You will be consultative in style, comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, and trusted by clients as an advisor rather than a transactional seller. Just as important is self-awareness, coachability, and the discipline to diagnose before prescribing solutions.
The culture is professional, high-performance, and very much City-centric, suited to individuals who enjoy being office-based in central London and immersed in a financial services environment. There is clear scope for career progression as the business continues to expand its product offering and international footprint.
The role offers a base salary of £60,000–£70,000 with uncapped commission and a realistic £100,000 OTE in year one. This is a London-based, office-centric role with regular client travel across the UK, EMEA, and MENA, so to find out more, apply now.
