Overview
We’re proud to be working exclusively with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) to find their next Head of Income Generation – a brand-new role with huge scope to make an impact. CIEH employs around 60 people and plays a vital role in influencing environmental and public health standards across the UK. This is your chance to shape a central part of their commercial strategy, bringing together well-established teams to deliver bigger, bolder, and more sustainable revenues.
In this senior leadership position, you’ll report to the Executive Director of Commercial and Digital Innovation and lead three distinct areas: vocational training sales, advertising and sponsorship for Environmental Health News, and customer service operations through the contact centre.
You’ll drive income growth, spot and develop new opportunities, and join up activity across membership, events, and venue hire. Customers span large corporates, SMEs, public sector bodies, local authorities, and third sector organisations – with decision-makers ranging from HR and L&D leaders to marketing directors.
We’re looking for a commercially minded leader who thrives as an agent of change and knows how to coach, inspire, and unite experienced teams. You’ll bring a strong track record in sales transformation, income generation, and commercial strategy – ideally within a membership body or related organisation. If you have experience in training, events, publishing, or venue sales, even better. Above all, you’ll know how to connect people, ideas, and opportunities to deliver measurable results.
CIEH offers hybrid working (one day a week in their SE1 office), 26 days’ holiday rising to 32 with service, and a strong focus on work-life balance – all with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
