We are seeking a passionate, driven Pastry Chef eager to grow within their kitchen team.
Our client aims to create a unique experience that blends the traditions of a classic British Public House with a contemporary twist on seasonal food and drinks. Over the past 36 months, they have invested significantly in refurbishments, staff, suppliers, and equipment, aiming for accolades and a strong reputation throughout the county.
Job Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen activities, prepare, cook, and present dishes, and manage the pastry section.
- Staff Management: Lead and mentor demi chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Food Preparation: Ensure all food meets high-quality standards, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, considering seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and cost control.
- Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control portions and waste to maintain margins and budgets.
- Health and Safety: Adhere strictly to culinary standards, health and safety regulations, and cleanliness protocols.
We are looking for a professional who is energetic, positive, punctual, with an excellent eye for detail, and driven to deliver top service to guests.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, enjoys working with UK suppliers and seasonal ingredients, and can work effectively as part of a team while building rapport with guests and colleagues.
