About the role
The Insurance & Reinsurance Group are busy and continue to grow. They are looking to hire into the Bristol team at the 5 PQE+ level. The team handle a wide range of interesting matters and work with both Bristol and London partners. Key areas of work include: ( i ) wide ranging professional indemnity disputes (particularly defending claims against finance professionals, solicitors, insurance brokers); (ii) financial lines, W&I, marine, reinsurance and cyber risks; (iii) complex policy coverage matters and (iv) insurance advisory (including drafting and advising on binding authority agreements, claims handling agreements, service agreements and TOBAs).
You will have the opportunity to work with an enviable client base, including many of the leading insurers and major brokers. The team are known for being highly commercial in their advice and offer the prospect of working closely with key clients, alongside being encouraged to develop your own contacts/network in the market.

The right individual will have experience gained at a City, insurance, major regional or leading international firm with strong experience handling clients in major insurance undertakings.
You will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to deliver practical and commercial advice. Due to the role being client facing, you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and project management skills.
You will need a broad professional indemnity experience and ideally, good knowledge of Brokers, Solicitors and Financial lines.
